Aspiring law students urged to submit registrations for CLAT 2026 deadline this week.
For students with ambitions of becoming legal professionals, the window to register for the CLAT 2026 (Common Law Admission Test) is winding down. The official application process, which opened on August 1, 2025, ends on October 31, 2025. The exam itself is scheduled for Sunday, December 7, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
Conducted by the Consortium of National Law Universities, CLAT is the key entrance test for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate programmes at 22 national law universities and several affiliated institutions across India. For the 2026 cycle, the UG version will consist of 120 multiple-choice questions that span five major sections: English Language, Current Affairs (including GK), Legal Reasoning, Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Techniques.
Here’s a quick guide for applicants:
Visit the official website (consortiumofnlus.ac.in) and click on “CLAT 2026 Registration”.
Fill in your email ID, mobile number, category and academic details.
Upload the required documents (photograph, scanned signature) and pay the application fee.
* Submit the form and download the confirmation page for your records.
It’s critical not to delay. With the clock ticking towards October 31, any procrastination could cost a hopeful candidate their chance. Ensuring your form is complete and error-free is key last-minute rushes often lead to mistakes, missed uploads or payment issues.
For those preparing, now’s a good time to ramp up mock tests, rehearse time management under exam conditions and hone your weaker sections particularly Quantitative Techniques and Legal Reasoning, which often trip up even well prepared students.
In short: if you’re aiming for a law career through a national level institution, act now. Registering for CLAT 2026 is the first concrete step and missing this deadline essentially closes the door for the upcoming cycle. Time to move fast, check your details, hit submit and keep your focus on preparation. Best of luck!
