Aspiring engineers across India have a crucial deadline approaching as the JEE Main 2026 Session 2 application process is now open but will close on February 25. With thousands of students gearing up to take this highly competitive engineering entrance exam, it’s essential to complete the registration process accurately and on time.

The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) and serves as the qualifying exam for admission to prestigious engineering colleges like the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and numerous National Institutes of Technology (NITs) and other centrally funded institutions. While Session 1 has already been completed, Session 2 offers another opportunity for aspirants to improve scores or qualify for the next stage, JEE Advanced.

Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to fill out the Session 2 application form:

  • Visit the official JEE Main website: Students should first open the NTA’s JEE Main portal in their web browser.
  • Register/Login: Those who appeared in Session 1 can log in using their application number and password. New candidates must register with valid details like name, date of birth, email address, and mobile number.
  • Fill in Personal Details: Carefully enter information such as address, academic records, category details, and contact information.
  • Upload Documents: Students will need to upload scanned copies of their photograph, signature, and other required certificates in the specified format and size.
  • Select Session and Exam Centres: Candidates must choose Session 2 and select preferred exam cities where they wish to take the test.
  • Pay the Application Fee: After filling out all fields, the next important step is fee payment. This can be done via debit/credit card, net banking, or UPI.

Submit and Print: Once the form and payment are complete, students should submit the application and download a copy for their records.
Completing the application well before the deadline helps avoid server overload and unexpected errors. It is also advised to double-check all details filled in the form, as any discrepancy could affect future stages of the selection process.

Parents and coaching mentors are actively guiding many aspirants through the form-filling process, offering reminders about deadline dates and document requirements. Many schools and coaching centres are also organising support sessions to help students avoid common mistakes during registration.

The JEE Main exam is a significant milestone for students aiming for careers in engineering, technology, and research. With Session 2 offering a second chance to perform better or secure qualification, completing the registration accurately is a key first step in this competitive journey.

Aspiring candidates should act swiftly and make sure their applications are submitted before the February 25 cutoff to keep their dreams of engineering admission alive.
