UN opens its Young Professionals Programme 2025 apply before December 14 to join global workforce.
The United Nations (UN) is now accepting applications for its 2025 Young Professionals Programme (YPP) individuals seeking to begin a career in international public service should submit their applications by December 14, 2025.
YPP is one of the UN's flagship early-career recruitment paths. It offers successful candidates a chance to work as international civil servants within the UN Secretariat, contributing to global governance and policy.
To be eligible, applicants must be nationals of participating countries, hold at least a bachelor’s degree, be 32 years old or younger in the exam year, and be proficient in English or French.
The selection process includes an online MCQ test, a written assessment, and a competency-based interview (often via video conference). Successful candidates are placed on a roster for up to three years; those selected receive a two-year fixed-term contract at entry-level professional grades (P-1 or P-2), with possibility of further contracts based on performance and vacancies.
Furthermore, placements after selection could be at any UN duty station worldwide from New York to Geneva to Nairobi so applicants should be ready for a global posting.
For interested candidates, the application must be submitted through the UN’s official recruitment portal (Inspira). Those who meet the eligibility criteria and feel drawn to international public service are encouraged to apply before the December 14 deadline.
