NALSAR Hyderabad Revises

Ahead of the upcoming CLAT 2026, the law school NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad has announced a revised seat-matrix for SC-TL (Scheduled Caste Telangana) category applicants. Under a new notification, the SC-TL category has been split into three sub-groups: SC-TL (Group I), Group II and Group III in line with state reservation laws.

The change affects both undergraduate and postgraduate admissions. Students who applied under the SC-TL quota now need to log in to their CLAT accounts and update their reservation category by December 1, 2025, 11:59 pm otherwise their candidature may not be correctly processed.

This update comes as part of procedural adjustments to ensure compliance with the Telangana State Rationalisation of Reservations of SC Act. NALSAR has directed all affected applicants to carefully check the updated brochure on the official CLAT portal and make the required changes.

CLAT 2026 will be held in a single shift on December 7, 2025, from 2 pm to 4 pm. The revised seat-matrix now reflects more granular reservation criteria, which may potentially impact seat allocation and competition among SC-TL applicants.

For aspirants under the SC-TL quota: update your reservation category soon, double-check all documents and get ready for the exam. This may be a small administrative step, but it can affect your chances.
