The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences has released a guide for applicants hoping to fill the All India Quota (AIQ) 2024 seats. Guidelines pertaining to medical training and reporting requirements, fee payment and submission procedures, refund policies, joining procedures and paperwork, and other topics are included in the advice. The following highlights the notification’s salient details:
After completing the joining procedures, candidates assigned NBEMS seats must report to the medical training institutions they have been assigned. The Medical Board must do a medical examination. Only those who successfully complete this test will be able to enroll in the course.
Candidates must pay the first-year annual course fee after completing joining formalities on the NBEMS Online Portal for Joining and Registration (OPJR). The payment must be made online through the portal within the reporting window, as specified in the counseling schedule.
If their initial seat is carried forward, candidates who want to upgrade their seat in later rounds will get a refund of the yearly course price. The money will be lost, though, if a candidate withdraws or does not participate, and the seat is not reclaimed in subsequent elections. After all counseling sessions are over, refunds will be received within six months.
For verification, candidates must present the necessary original documentation when they report to their institutions. They will be permitted to enroll in the course upon verification.
Unless NBEMS approves an extension, candidates must start training on the designated dates. The training begins on the day that the designated seat is joined.
