Everything aspirants need to know about NEET PG 2025 counselling expected start seat allotment rounds registration steps and roadmap to joining medical postgrad
The stage is being set: NEET PG 2025 counselling is expected to begin in or before the last week of October. Once the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) releases the official schedule, candidates will be able to register, fill preferences, lock choices, and await seat allotment.
The counselling process will likely include three normal rounds and a stray vacancy round, following the pattern of previous years. To take part, students must register with the MCC (mcc.nic.in), pay the applicable fee, and then fill in their institute and course preferences. After preference filling, there will be a window for choice locking, typically lasting a day, before the allotment results are processed.
Once allotment is declared, those who accept the seat will need to report to their allotted college with the required documents. The institute then shares joined candidate details with MCC, after which classes can begin. It’s anticipated that the entire cycle from registration to final joining could stretch over more than a month, given verification and logistics.
A few caveats and dynamics are in play: The NEET PG 2025 results were declared on August 20, with individual scorecards available starting August 29. Also, counseling rounds may face delays if administrative or legal matters arise, as seen historically.
What should aspirants do now? Keep a close eye on the MCC website and “News & Events” section for the official notification. Prepare all necessary documents (degree certificate, identity proof, category certificates, etc.) in advance. Be ready to log in and submit choices as soon as registration opens. And when the days become tight, act promptly during choice filling and locking phases.
With thousands of candidates awaiting PG medical seats, the upcoming counselling period will be both exciting and stressful. Staying informed, calm, and ready will be the key to navigating this final stretch.
