Candidates across the country are concerned as to whether NEET UG 2024 will be rescheduled. The National Testing Agency (NTA) is scheduled to conduct the NEET UG 2024 exam for more than 25 lakh medical students on May 5. Since the NTA has not made an official announcement regarding the revision of NEET UG 2024 date, the exam is most likely to be conducted as planned.
The Lok Sabha elections are scheduled to be held across seven phases, starting from April 19 to June 1. Students’ concerns about NEET UG 2024 date clashing with a polling date are unwarranted, as it does not coincide with any polling date.
In the past, the NEET UG exam was mired in controversies. Previous issues, such as the pandemic, age eligibility debates, and confusion about the number of attempts permitted, have created uncertainty among the students. But this time round, students are advised to wait for an official statement from the NTA, the exam conducting body, and in the event of any decision regarding a change in the date of NEET UG 2024, the same will be made available on the NEET 2024 official website.
Meanwhile the NTA has released the city information slip for the NEET UG 2024 exam on April 24. Registered candidates will be able to check their city of examination centres at the official NTA website on exams.nta.ac.in/NEET/.
This should put students’ uncertainty and concerns regarding the revision of the exam date to rest.
