The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the answer key for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2024. Students can check and download the NEET UG answer key at the official website — exams.nta.ac.in. The Agency held the NEET UG 2024 examination on May 5.
The provisional answer keys were released on May 29 and medical aspirants were given time till May 31 to raise objections against the provisional NEET UG answer keys.
Once results are declared, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) will conduct the Counselling for 15 per cent All India Quota Seats, Deemed Universities, Central Universities, Seats of ESIC and AFMC, BHU and AMU.
Candidates will apply for 15 per cent All India Quota seats as per the directions of DGHS and Counselling will be stopped once the seats are exhausted. This year, a total of 9,96,393 male candidates and 13,31,321 female candidates, and 17 transgender candidates appeared for the NEET UG exam.
In the NEET UG 2024 answer key, if more than one option is found to be correct then four marks (+4) will be awarded to only those who have marked any of the correct options. However, if all options are found to be correct then four marks (+4) will be awarded to all those who have attempted the question.
If none of the options is found correct or a question is found to be wrong or a question is dropped then all candidates who have appeared will be given four marks (+4) irrespective of the fact whether the question has been attempted or not attempted by the candidate.
None of the questions in NEET UG 2024 were dropped this year.
