NEET UG Result Date: The National Testing Agency conducted the NEET UG 2026 examination on May 3 across 37 states and Union Territories. This year, more than 22 lakh students appeared in the medical entrance exam, while the attendance remained above 96 percent, showing a massive participation from candidates across the country.

NEET UG is the biggest entrance test for students seeking admission in undergraduate medical courses such as MBBS, BDS and other allied health programmes in India.

When Will NEET UG 2026 Result Be Released?

Based on the result pattern of previous years, the National Testing Agency is expected to announce the NEET UG 2026 result in the middle of June. Reports suggest that scorecards may be released around June 13 on the official website.

Once released, students will be able to check:

  • Subject-wise marks
  • Total score
  • Percentile
  • All India Rank

Before the final result, NTA is also expected to publish the provisional answer key. Candidates will get a chance to challenge any answer by paying the required objection fee.

What After NEET Result?

Students who qualify in NEET UG 2026 will become eligible for counselling under:

  • All India Quota counselling
  • State counselling process

Through these counselling rounds, admissions will be given in MBBS, BDS and several other medical courses.

Expected Cut-Off Marks

As per the previous trend, General and EWS category students may need around the 50th percentile to qualify. Their expected score range can remain between 686 and 144.

For OBC, SC and ST category candidates, the qualifying line is expected around the 40th percentile, with scores likely between 143 and 113.
Last year also, more than 22 lakh students appeared for NEET, out of which over 12 lakh qualified. Looking at this trend, competition is expected to remain very high this year as well.
