Similarly, disciplines such as Architecture & Planning, Law, Medical, Dental, Research Institutions, and Agriculture & Allied Sectors currently have 40 to 50 top institutions.

IIM Ahmedabad has been named as the finest management institute for the fifth straight year, with IIM Bangalore and IIM Kozhikode coming in second and third place, respectively.

In 2024, there will be 50 state public universities and an additional 50 in the 51-100 rank range as part of the newly created categories. Only three universities, though, are listed under the categories of talent universities and open universities. Ten universities are recognized for innovation, and forty more are ranked in rank bands ranging from 11 to 50.

The NIRF Team consults with institutions to ensure data integrity and uses triangulation techniques to find and fix data problems. By concentrating on accuracy, data inflation has been reduced, allowing the NIRF Team to improve metrics and ranking criteria. Further information about publications, citations, and patents is available from third-party sources like Scopus, Web of Science, and Derwent Innovation. This information is shared with institutions for transparency.
