Today, August 12, 2024, Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has revealed the India Rankings across all categories. On nirfindia.org, the NIRF’s official website, the rating lists will be accessible.

The announcement ceremony took place in New Delhi’s Bharat Mandapam. Sukanto Majumdar, the Minister of State for Education, attended the function with other dignitaries.

NIRF RANKINGS 2024: DIRECT LINK TO CHECK COMPLETE LIST

The NIRF rankings lists have been released for 16 different categories. Three new categories- state universities, skill universities and open universities have been added this year. The other categories include universities, colleges, research institutions, engineering, management, pharmacy, medical, dental, law, architecture and planning, agriculture and allied sectors, and innovation.

IIT Madras has topped the overall category followed by IISc Bengaluru in second place, IIT Bombay in the third position.

Under engineering category, IIT Madras has again topped followed by IIT Delhi in second place and IIT Bombay in the third spot.

For medical category, AIIMS Delhi has ranked on top, second spot is acquired by PGIMER, Chandigarh and third place is acquired by Christian Medical College, Vellore.

A Core Committee constructed the methodology for ranking institutes set up by MHRD to identify the broad parameters for ranking various universities and institutions. The parameters on which institutes are ranked are teaching, learning, and resources, research and professional practice, graduation outcome, outreach and inclusivity, and perception.
