AIIMS Delhi once again topped the NIRF medical rankings; PGIMER second and CMC Vellore in third place.
The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Delhi, continued its magnificent tradition and secured first place in the ranking of 2025 medical institutions of NIRF in the eighth consecutive year. Just behind this, PGIMER, Chandigarh finished second and CMC Vellore stood third.
NIRF (National Institutional Ranking Framework) released its annual list, in which institutions were evaluated on several standards - such as teaching, research, graduate results and overall social influences. This year these glowing stars of the medical field have shown the continuous excellence of years.
Following the top three, the rest of the top five include JIPMER, Puducherry, and SGPGI, Lucknow, rounding out a group of institutions renowned for clinical care and academic leadership.

While AIIMS is maintaining its crown, the emergence of other institutions reflects healthy competition and changing standards. PGIMER and CMC Vellore deserve appreciation for their frequent performance, while other institutions involved in the ranking are seen to be rapidly adopting modern health education needs.
