The announcement made by the UGC chairman M Jagadesh Kumar in August regarding the merger of NEET, JEE Main, and CUET received mixed reactions. While the majority of them expressed concerns, students also organized a ‘combined symbolic protest’ at Jantar Mantar, Delhi, over the problems faced during the largest entrance exams this year and demanded extra attempts.
“This idea about merging JEE and NEET with CUET is senseless, rather it's a distraction to overcome the huge blunder done by NTA this year,” a student wrote on Twitter.
