The Combined Research Entrance Test (CRET) 2024 online application procedure is presently open for admission to a number of PhD programs at Allahabad University and its constituent colleges.

The application deadline is August 12 and interested and qualified applicants may submit their applications via the official websites, aupravesh2024.cbtexam.in and allduniv.ac.in.

1,182 places will be available for CRET 2024, which will be held for 47 disciplines. Of these, 418 seats are in the University of Allahabad's Constituent Colleges and 764 seats are in university departments or centers.

It is required of candidates who meet the requirements for the NET/JRF to take the CRET Level-1 and Level-2 exams.

Applications must also be submitted by candidates falling within the categories of Officers of Armed Forces and Teacher Candidate (excluding wards of teachers or employees).

CRET-2024: Important details

Only in Prayagraj will the entrance exam be administered in person.International applicants, Army officers, and teacher candidates from the University of Allahabad and its constituent colleges are excluded from taking the CRET Level-1 test; instead, they must take the Level-2 test.The Level-1 exam is required of all other candidates, including NET/JRF candidates.International applicants who are interested in being admitted to the PhD program should get in touch with the university's advisor for international students. They are not obliged to fill out the online application.

Paper Structure:

CRET-2024's Level-1 will consist of two papers. Paper I consists of fifty two-mark objective questions, twenty-five questions on research methodology, and twenty-five subject-specific questions with no negative marking. Paper 2 consists of short, medium, and long questions and is subjective. The combined total for both papers is 300 marks. The exam will last for 2 hours and 30 minutes.

Application Fee:

Candidates in the Unreserved/OBC/EWS categories must pay an application fee of Rs 1,800, while SC/ST/PwD candidates need to pay Rs 900.
