Married young, faced hardship, Ramlal cleared NEET after years of struggle.

Ramlal Bhoi’s life story is a powerful reminder that circumstances do not always decide destiny. Born in Ghosunda village in Rajasthan’s Chittorgarh district, his childhood was shaped by financial hardship and social traditions. At just 11 years old, he was married while still studying in school, a practice that unfortunately still exists in some rural areas. This early responsibility could have easily ended his academic aspirations.

As he grew older, Ramlal continued his education despite social pressure. By the age of 20, he had already become a father. Managing family responsibilities at such a young age while trying to continue studies was not easy. There were moments when even his father wanted him to stop studying and focus on work. But Ramlal believed strongly that education was his only way forward.

After passing Class 10, he chose the science stream, which is often seen as challenging and demanding. He set his goal on clearing the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, known as NEET, to become a doctor. His first attempt did not succeed. He scored 350 marks, which was not enough for a medical seat. Over the next few years, he tried again and again, facing disappointment with scores like 320 and 362.

Many people in similar situations might have given up, especially with financial strain and social expectations. However, Ramlal kept preparing. With support from teachers and encouragement from family members who gradually began believing in his dream, he persisted.

In his fifth attempt in 2023, he finally achieved success by scoring 632 marks in NEET UG. This score secured him admission into a medical college, turning his long held dream into reality. His journey was not just about clearing an exam but about breaking barriers and challenging norms.

Ramlal balanced studies, family life and limited resources for almost a decade. His achievement has inspired many in his village and beyond. His story shows that determination, patience and belief in oneself can slowly change even the most difficult situations. Sometimes the path is long and full of setbacks, but giving up is never the only option.
