The National Testing Agency (NTA) will close the registration process for the National Eligibility and Entrance Test UG (NEET-UG) today, March 16. Candidates who have yet to submit their forms can do so at the official website, neet.ntaonline.in.
This was the second time applicants were given the opportunity to complete the application form. The online application form was issued on February 9, and applicants had till March 9 to register for NEET UG 2024. However, the NTA later extended the registration deadline to March 16.
NEET UG 2024: How To Apply
Step 1: Visit the official website, neet.ntaonline.in.
Step 2: If you are a new student, apply or login using the 'new registration' page.
Step 3: Click on New Registration and provide your name, date of birth, gender, cell phone number, and email address.
Step 4: Once registered, log in with your application number and password.
Step 5: Complete the application form.
Step 6: Save, submit, and pay the charge.
Step 7: Download the application form for future reference.
Additionally, applicants must pay an application fee. For Indian applicants in the General Category, the registration cost is Rs 1,700. However, there are relaxations for the reserved categories. For General-EWS/ OBC-NCL, the application fee is Rs 1,600 and for SC/ ST/ PwBD/ third gender, it is Rs 1,000.
After the application window closes on March 16, candidates will be given time from March 18 to March 20 (11:55 pm) to make corrections to their online form. After this deadline, no further corrections will be permitted under any circumstances.
The dates for correction in particulars, advance intimation of exam city, downloading of admit cards and declaration of result will be displayed on the portal at the appropriate time. The NEET UG 2024 is scheduled to be conducted on May 5, and the result will be declared on June 14.
