As the countdown begins, aspiring engineers and architects across India are reminded that the registration window for JEE Main 2026 Session 1 closes on November 27, 2025 at 11:50 PM Conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), the exam serves as the gateway to undergraduate engineering (BE/BTech) courses across NITs, IIITs, and other participating institutions plus it functions as the qualifying round for JEE Advanced. 

Here’s your friendly step-by-step guide to ensure you don’t miss the key moment:

1. Visit the official portal at jeemain.nta.nic.in. 
2. Complete the online application form fill academic details, choose preferred exam cities and upload required documents in specified formats. 
3. Pay the examination fee via one of the online payment modes before deadline. 
4. Download and safely store the payment confirmation and the filled-in application confirmation page for your records. 

It’s vital to remember: only one application form is permitted per candidate. Multiple submissions will not be accepted. Use a valid email and mobile number (your own or your parent/guardian’s) to receive official communications. 

Ensure you have the following documents in order before applying:

⦁     Aadhaar card details name, date of birth as per class 10 certificate. 
⦁     For PwD candidates: a valid UDID card. 
⦁     Category certificate (EWS/SC/ST/OBC-NCL) in correct format. 
Timelines for Session 1: application submission from October 31 to November 27, 2025 (fee payment also by November 27). Exam dates are slated between January 21 and January 30, 2026, with further details like admit-cards, exam shifts and answer-keys to follow via the official website.

For candidates who may choose to sit only Session 2 (April 2026), a separate registration window will open later and if you appear for Session 1, you may reuse your application number to apply again.
