September is often one of the most festivals filled in India, and it is no different even in 2025. Schools across the country are preparing for many holidays, so that students, teachers and families can enjoy cultural traditions, religious events and moments of relaxation.

The month starts on 5 September with Teachers' Day, which is celebrated with happiness, creativity and respect for teachers in classes across the country. Soon after, Onam will be celebrated in states such as Kerala, which will include colorful decorations, cultural programs and traditional feasts. Eid-e-Milad will be held in mid-September, which is an vital part for Muslim communities and due to which there will be holidays in many states. At the end of the month, the huge celebrations of Durga Puja will draw West Bengal, Assam, Tripura and parts of Eastern India.

These breaks are not just holiday in academics they provide families with a chance to bond, for children to explore traditions and cultural divisions, and for communities to come together in celebration.
