Shocking: Two Student

Faridabad’s J.C. Bose University has once again been shaken by tragedy after a second student suicide was reported within a span of 20 days. According to initial reports, an MBA student allegedly jumped from the sixth floor of a newly constructed building inside the campus on 28 August 2025.

The incident follows closely after the death of another student, Vanshika, on August 9, sparking serious concerns about student safety and mental well-being within the university. Eyewitnesses described a heavy gathering of students and staff around the scene as authorities rushed in to begin investigations.

The identity of the student is yet to be fully confirmed, though he has been identified as Mohit in preliminary reports. The reasons behind his decision remain unclear, and officials are awaiting further clarity from the ongoing probe.

What is the most worrying is not only the frequency of these events, but it is a big question as to why the young people are considered to be the hope of tomorrow-they are forced to take such irreversible steps. Mental health experts believe that the pressure of studies, loneliness and not getting emotional support on time - all these reasons often take the form of such painful events.

As the investigation is moving forward, the demand for strengthening counselling facilities at the university, developing peer support system and implementing stress management programs is increasing. At the moment, one thing is absolutely clear - students need much more than books and examinations. They need a system that listens to them, support them and nourish them - before it is too late.
