As part of the project, around 2.5 lakh young people from the NER would be able to participate in industry-specific skill training sessions. This would be made possible by a variety of schemes and initiatives, including the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY), the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS), and Jan Shikshan Sansthans (JSS).
