Technological innovations will immensely Says, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan today said the technological innovations will immensely contribute to the economy of the country. He inaugurated the second edition of the mega R&D Fair, IInvenTiv-2024 at the IIT-Hyderabad, Kandi in Telangana. 

Speaking on the occasion, the minister said the country has emerged as a significant player in global innovation.  

Refregarding the US Congress passing a resolution recently praising the contribution of IITians in the development of the US, the minister said it is the IITians' brand value and strength.

The minister further said digital payments reached 25 percent of the total transactions and innovations contribute to 25 percent of the GDP. He also said Innovations have got much-needed impetus through Athma Nirbhar Bharat and Make in India programmes of the Government.  

 

The IInvenTiv-2024, which is an annual event to highlight research and technological innovations by Indian Institutions of Higher Education. 23 IITs, NITs, IISERs and IISc Bengaluru and 50 top-ranking Engineering and Higher Education Institutions are taking part in the event. About 120 innovations are on display on the occasion.
