The Telangana School Education Department has begun TET registrations for 2024. Candidates who qualify for the Telangana Teacher Eligibility Test (TS TET) 2024 can apply at the official website and submit their forms till November 20, 2024, while they prepare for the January test session.
TS TET 2024 Qualifications
Candidates who have finished or are in the last year of a diploma or degree program in education, such as DElEd, DEd, BEd, or comparable language certificates, are eligible to apply. This covers applicants who are presently pursuing these qualifications and have obtained the requisite marks.
Passing TS TET allows candidates to apply for teaching positions for Classes 1-8 in Telangana’s government, mandal parishad, zilla parishad, and both private aided and unaided schools. The TS TET certification is valid for life.
TS TET 2024 Exam Pattern
The TG TET 2024 includes two papers:
To pass, general category candidates need a minimum of 60%, BC candidates 50%, and SC/ST/differently-abled candidates 40%. TET scores hold 20% weightage in recruitment processes for teaching positions.
Exams will be held in two shifts daily:
Candidates who took the TS TET in May/June 2024 but did not pass, or those who wish to improve their scores, are exempt from the application fee. For new candidates, the fee structure is as follows:
With approximately 235,000 applicants taking part in the May 2024 round and 109,000 passing, the TS TET remains an important road to teaching employment in Telangana.
