Tripura's only central university removed from NIRF Ranking 2022

New Delhi: Tripura's only central university currently lags behind in the National Institute Ranking Framework (NIRF). The existence of Tripura Central University could not be found in the list of NIRF rankings published by the Union Education Ministry on July 15 about all the universities in India. However, many universities from North-Eastern states have managed to make it to this list.

Universities including Guwahati University ranked 36th, Tezpur University ranked 59th, NEH University ranked 66th, and Mizoram University ranked 78th. But in this list of 100 Tripura Central University was not found. This is a piece of bad news for every student of Tripura state.

Notably, Tripura Central University is a dream university for all the students of Tripura. During the time of the then Vice-Chancellor Prof. Anjankumar Ghosh, this university managed to place itself among one hundred universities of all India in the NIRF ranking. But today this university has dealt a severe blow to the hopes of all the students of Tripura state during the tenure of the present Vice-Chancellor and the much-controversial current Registrar.
