The University Grants Commission (UGC) has issued a notice urging universities to register with the National Testing Agency (NTA) to simplify admission to postgraduate courses via the Common University Entrance Test Postgraduate (CUET PG). The CUET PG registration process is now underway, and applicants can apply for admission through the NTA.
According to the revised registration deadline, the NTA will close the CUET PG 2024 application window on January 31.
"NTA has been tasked to administer the CUET on behalf of the UGC and the Ministry of Education, and it has been doing so to promote uniform admissions at participating universities and institutes for improved outreach. "The application process is currently underway," states the UGC statement.
"NTA has been mandated to conduct the CUET on behalf of UGC and Ministry of Education and has been conducting this exam to facilitate the uniform admissions in participating universities / institutions for better outreach. The application process is currently active," reads the UGC notification.
"ln case you have not yet registered with NTA for enabling admissions to PG courses in your university, in the year 2024, you may do so now," the notification further states.
The list of participating institutions as displayed on NTA's website is dynamic and will be updated to include the name of the university after it registers with NTA.
For any further queries and/or clarifications, the universities and candidates may contact the NTA help desk, the notification adds.
