UGC has released important guidelines for students who want to enroll in open and distance learning and online learning programs.
New Delhi: The University Grants Commission (UGC) has released important guidelines for students who want to enroll in open and distance learning (ODL) and online learning programs. The UGC has stated some precautionary guidelines that students should keep in mind while enrolling in these programs. The Commission has also notified a list of programs that are prohibited to be offered under ODL and online mode. These programs include Engineering, Medical, Physiotherapy, and various others.

The checklist further includes the status of higher educational institutions (HEIs), and adherence to the duration of an academic session, among others. The UGC's precautionary guidelines applied to both undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) programs.
