The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) announced the schedule for the Civil Services Examination (CSE) Mains 2024, which will be held from September 20 to September 29. The tests will be held in two sessions every day: in the morning from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., and in the afternoon from 2:30 p.m.

Candidates who have cleared the UPSC CSE Prelims 2024 are eligible for the Mains test. The Prelims results were revealed on July 1, 2024, following the June 16 exam, with 14,627 students qualifying.

The UPSC CSE Mains 2024 will include Indian Language (Paper-A) options such as Assamese, Bengali, Hindi, Kannada, and others, and Optional Subjects (Paper-VI & Paper-VII) including Agriculture, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, History, Political Science, and more.

This year, the UPSC recruitment drive will fill up to 1,056 vacancies, including 40 reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD).
