UPSC IFS Main Exam 2025 schedule released Key dates, sessions, subject information announced

Applicants who cleared prelims must prepare for IFS mains starting November with two daily exam sessions.

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the schedule for Indian Forest Service (IFS) Main Examination 2025. The mains will take place from November 16 to November 23, 2025. Candidates who cleared the preliminary exam are eligible to appear. There will be two sessions each exam day: forenoon session from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and afternoon session from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM.

Exam papers include General English, General Knowledge and optional subjects. Optional subjects cover a range of academic disciplines so students can choose according to their strengths. The exam pattern is rigorous, meant to test both broad awareness and subject-depth. The break between sessions helps candidates rest and prepare for next part.
