Over 2,700 candidates cleared the UPSC CSE Mains 2025 next stop: personality test stage.
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) released the results of the Civil Services (Main) Examination 2025 on 11 November, announcing that 2,736 candidates have qualified for the Personality Test (interview) round.
This year’s Mains exam was held between 22 and 31 August across centres throughout India. The result was published as a PDF on the UPSC website, available for download under the “Written Result Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2025” link. Candidates are advised to use the search (Ctrl + F) function to locate their roll numbers within the document.
Now that the Mains phase is over, the shortlisted aspirants will proceed to the Personality Test stage often regarded as the most decisive part of the selection process. The UPSC will issue e-summon letters in due course with details regarding interview dates and other formalities.
For many candidates, clearing Mains is a major milestone. But stakeholders caution that success in the interview requires diligent preparation of one’s Detailed Application Form, verified academic credentials, awareness of current affairs, and strong communication skills.
While this batch of 2,736 qualifiers sets off for the interview round, many hopefuls who did not make the cut will now reflect on their performance and gear up for the next cycle. As always, transparency has been stressed by officials the list is roll-number wise, and candidates are encouraged to keep a printed copy of the PDF for their records.
In summary: the UPSC once again stuck to its schedule, and thousands of aspirants now move a step closer to the coveted administrative services. The coming days will see the interview calendar being announced, and for many this will be the final leg of a long journey.
