The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is seeking qualified applicants for the positions of Joint Secretary and Director/Deputy Secretary in several ministries and departments.
Candidates are encouraged to submit applications on a contractual basis for a term of three years, which can be extended up to five years depending on their performance. The deadline for submitting the application form is September 17, 2024.

The minimum and maximum age limit for the Joint Secretary level post are 40 and 55 years respectively and the gross salary would be around Rs 2,70,000 including Dearness Allowance, Transport Allowance and House Rent Allowance in present level.
The pay for the Director level position would be determined at a gross salary of Rs 2,32,000, with minimum and maximum ages being 35 and 45 years old, respectively. The Deputy Secretary level position has a minimum age requirement of 32 years old and a maximum age limit of 40 years old. The gross remuneration for this position is around Rs 1,52,000.
