For the Faculty Development Programme on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Data Science, the Jio Institute and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) have partnered. The ATAL (AICTE Training and Learning) initiative, which is intended to reskill and upskill Faculty members from AICTE-approved universities, is the framework within which this collaborative endeavor is being launched.

The combined endeavor aims to highlight the ethical ramifications of using AI tools for immersive learning while also equipping senior faculty and academic leaders with a thorough understanding of AI and Data Science. This programme will provide 40 selected AICTE members with thorough training that also includes faculty.

The program's major goal is to give participants a thorough understanding of how to design teaching and learning environments that have an impact, a task that is especially important given the growing influence of information and exploration powered by AI. The course will examine the broad applications of AI and data sciences in the fields of science, engineering, healthcare, and liberal arts. It will cover a variety of topics including Data Visualisation, Natural Language Processing, Time Series & Optimisation, Applications, Generative AI, and Large Language Models. The programme will also explore new opportunities in the rapidly changing technology field.

"Our dedication to fostering cutting-edge education that prepares our faculty members for future problems is exemplified by our cooperation with Jio Institute. It enables us to provide educators with the abilities they need to negotiate complex educational environments, underscoring our commitment to academic excellence, declared AICTE Chairman Prof. T.G. Sitharaman.

The session will come to a close on August 25 with a thought-provoking panel discussion on the use of artificial intelligence in the arts and heritage, followed by a tour of the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre and other important South Mumbai landmarks.
