AICTE Introduces Career Portal for Engineering, Management Students

To assist engineering and management graduates in finding relevant job opportunities, the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), in collaboration with apna.co, a jobs portal, has established the 'AICTE employment Portal'.

Launched by Prof TG Sitharam, the chairman of AICTE, the Career Portal is aimed at helping fresh graduates get access to employment opportunities, internships, resume building, interview preparation, and other career-boosting opportunities.This portal intends to empower over 3 million students enrolled in more than 12,000 AICTE-affiliated colleges nationwide.

The AICTE Career Portal will launch on April 30, 2024, to assist freshers and job seekers access domestic and international job and internship opportunities. Additionally, it offers important career planning tools like AI resume building, real-time job alerts, and community engagement.This collaboration will also give students an exclusive chance to take part in the Silicon Valley Immersion Program'24 where the top 3 teams will get a fully-funded trip to Silicon Valley, USA.

“The strategic partnership also offers an exclusive opportunity for students to participate in the Silicon Valley Immersion Program. This immersive experience includes a fully-sponsored trip to Silicon Valley, USA, where students will engage directly with industry leaders at renowned companies such as Google, Apple and Microsoft, among others," the official statement read.

The AICTE career portal will also provide colleges with transformative tools like the ‘Outcomes Dashboard’, facilitating informed decision-making and strategic planning.TG Sitharam said, “The collaboration with apna.co signifies an important partnership between the government and startups, addressing critical employment challenges.

Jointly, we are not only empowering students to cultivate essential skills but also facilitating their access to a broad spectrum of national and global employment opportunities. This association also fosters meaningful engagement with leading companies via a dynamic ecosystem that nurtures talent and drives economic growth."
