Bihar School Education Board invites applications for Diploma in Elementary Education with 30,000+ seats available.

The Bihar School Education Board (BSEB) has formally released the admission notification for the Diploma in Elementary Education (DEIEd) course for the 2026-28 session, opening doors for thousands of aspiring teachers across the state. This announcement is significant for students who want to pursue a career in elementary education and contribute to shaping young minds in India’s classrooms. 

Under the new notification, over 30,000 seats will be available in various government and private teacher training colleges and institutes across Bihar. The application process began on December 11, 2025, and will continue until December 24, 2025, giving candidates a limited window to complete and submit their applications through the board’s official portal.

Eligibility criteria are straightforward but important: candidates must have passed their 10+2 examination with at least 50% marks. There is an additional 5% relaxation in the minimum required marks for candidates from reserved categories and those who are differently-abled, reflecting the board’s commitment to inclusive education and equal opportunities. 

The DEIEd program, typically spanning two academic years, prepares future teachers with essential pedagogical skills, classroom management techniques, child psychology insights, and methods of teaching foundational subjects like language, mathematics and environmental studies. Graduates often find roles as teachers in primary and elementary schools, both in government and private sectors, making this one of the most sought-after teacher training pathways in the region.

Education experts are encouraging candidates to begin gathering the required documents including educational certificates, identity proof, and category certificates if applicable ahead of time to avoid last-minute hurdles. As many institutions may have additional local admission requirements, candidates are advised to read all instructions carefully before applying.
