The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has postponed the 70th Combined (Preliminary) Competitive Examination 2024 to December. As per media reports, the exam was slated to be held in November but has now been deferred to the second week of December.
The selection process for the recruitment exam involves three stages — the Preliminary Examination, Mains Examination, and an Interview round. The online application process which commenced on September 28, 2024, will continue till October 18, 2024. Candidates can register themselves on the official websites at bpsc.bih.nic.in or onlinebpsc.bihar.gov.in.
The BPSC is offering 1,957 civil service positions this year. Previously, the number of openings to be filled through this recruiting drive was 1,929, but it has since been increased to 1,957.

Supply Inspector (Bihar Supply Service): 233 posts

Block Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Welfare Officer (Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Welfare Department): 125 posts
Block Minority Welfare Officer, Minority Welfare Department: 28 posts
Step 1: Go to the official website of BPSC at bpsc.bih.nic.in.
Step 2: On the homepage, look for and click on the ‘BPSC 70th CCE 2024’ registration link.
Step 3: First register yourself on the portal. Once the process is done, fill out the application form.
Step 4: Pay the application fee as directed.
Step 5: Cross-check all the details and submit the form.
The registration fee for the General, OBC, EWS, and candidates from other states is Rs 600, while SC, ST, and PWD candidates need to pay Rs 150. It is important to note that all fees should be paid online via the BPSC portal.
