Around 18 lakh students appeared for CBSE Class 12 exams across all streams in 2026.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class 12 result 2026 is expected to be announced soon, with lakhs of students across the country waiting for their marksheets.

Around 18 lakh students appeared for the CBSE Class 12 board exams this year in Science, Commerce and Humanities streams. The examinations were conducted between February and April for the 2026 academic session.

Recently, DigiLocker displayed a “coming soon” notification for CBSE Class 12 results, increasing speculation that the results may be declared shortly.

How Students Can Check CBSE Class 12 Result 2026

Once the result is released, students can download their digital marksheet through DigiLocker by following these steps:

• Visit DigiLocker website or app
• Login using Aadhaar-linked mobile number
• Search CBSE under the Education section
• Select “CBSE Class 12 Result 2026”
• Enter roll number, school code and admit card ID
• Download the digitally signed marksheet

Last year, CBSE declared Class 12 results on May 13 around 11 am, and a similar timeline is expected this year as well.
CBSE Will Not Release Toppers List

CBSE has continued its policy of not publishing an official toppers list. The board says this decision is aimed at reducing pressure and unhealthy competition among students.

Instead of ranks, CBSE will provide digital merit certificates to students who score among the top performers in individual subjects.
