The Delhi Directorate of Education has begun registering children from the Economically Weaker Section (EWS), Disadvantaged Groups (DG), and Children With Special Needs (CWSN) categories for the academic year 2024-25 at private schools across the national capital. The registration window stays open until May 15, 2024.
Interested parents can enroll their children by visiting the official website at http://www.edudel.nic.in/
Eligibility criteria
Applicants should be permanent residents of Delhi and the family income should not exceed Rs 2.5 lakh per annum.
The eligible age limit for admission in Pre-school, KG and Class 1 for EWS or DG category is 3-5 years, 4-6 years, and 5-7 years respectively, whereas the age limit for these subjects for CWSN should be 3-7 years, 4-8 years, and 5-9 years respectively.
Private schools are required to reserve 25% of their seats for students from EWS, DG, and CWSN, which are allocated by computerised lottery system.
Applicants need to submit a birth certificate, income certificate, domicile certificate, ration card, and certificate of disability if they are applying under any of these categories.

Step 2: Click on the ‘EWS / DG Admissions and EWS / Freeship Admissions’ link.
Step 3: Fill the form with the required information and upload the necessary documents.
Step 4: Pay the registration fee and submit the form.
Step 5: Download the receipt for future reference.
