JEE Main result 2026

JEE Main Result 2026: JEE Main 2026 result is expected today, as per a press note issued by the National Testing Agency (National Testing Agency).

The agency has already released the final answer key on its official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in, and will soon publish the merit list, All India Rank (AIR), and scorecards.

Session 2 Score Calculation

For Session 2, NTA will calculate scores based on raw marks. As per the marking scheme, candidates receive four marks for each correct answer and one mark is deducted for every incorrect response. The total NTA score includes subject-wise performance in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.

Final Merit List Preparation

The final merit list is prepared by combining Session 1 and Session 2 scores. For candidates who appeared in both sessions, the best of the two scores is considered for ranking in the final result.

Result Details

The final scorecard will include:

  • NTA score of Session 1
  • NTA score of Session 2
  • Best score (for candidates appearing in both sessions)
  • List of candidates eligible for JEE Advanced 2026

Normalisation Process

NTA uses a normalisation method to ensure fairness across different sessions. This process adjusts scores based on difficulty level so that no candidate is advantaged or disadvantaged. Percentile scores are used instead of raw marks for preparing the final result.

The top scorer in each session receives a percentile of 100, and all other scores are converted proportionally between the highest and lowest marks.

Rank List

The final rank list of JEE Main will include both All India Rank (AIR) and category-wise ranks of candidates.
