LPU Makes Its Mark in Top 10 Indian Universities in The World Rankings 2025

Lovely Professional University (LPU) secures 9th place in India's top universities according to THE World University Rankings 2025, surpassing IITs and NITs. LP

According to the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2025, Lovely Professional University (LPU) has advanced significantly, taking ninth place among all of India's best universities. This accomplishment encompasses both private universities and government establishments, including IITs and NITs.

LPU's ascent from 25th place to the top 10 last year is a testament to its dedication to quality in academics, research, entrepreneurship, diversity, infrastructure, and innovation. The university's ranking in the 601–800 range on a global scale represents a significant improvement over the previous year.

LPU has surpassed a number of esteemed universities, such as Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), the University of Delhi, numerous NITs, and the IITs at Guwahati, Ropar, Gandhinagar, and Mandi.

LPU was also ranked among the top 200 universities worldwide in the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings 2024. In terms of quality education, LPU has a stunning global ranking of 19 and is India's second-highest ranked university, among both government and private universities.
