Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, speaking at the ceremony, stated that the program launched today is in line with Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's objective of making India a global skill capital and empowering our Amrit Peedhi.
He added that the cooperation "Education to Entrepreneurship" is a game-changer that would bring digital skills to the masses. This will increase the talent pool's capabilities, seamlessly connect students, young people, the workforce, and microentrepreneurs with cutting-edge technologies, and reshape our Amrit Peedhi into modern-day problem solvers and entrepreneurs.
According to him, technology conversion must be linked to India's democracy, population, and diversity so that technology serves as an equalizer for the entire society. He continued: "Led by the principles of NEP, META's partnerships with NIESBUD, CBSE, and AICTE will catalyze infinite possibilities for empowering micro-entrepreneurs and small businesses and equipping our population with critical digital skills."
In his speech, Shri Rajeev Chandrasekhar emphasized the government's emphasis on empowering our youth and workers to succeed in these times of rapid change and to play significant roles in the shifting face of technology and the global economy.
While symbolizing entrepreneurship and skill-building in the innovation ecosystem, digital skills, more critically, serve as a link between thousands of small, rural, and self-employed business owners, allowing them to develop, advance, and be successful, he continued.
Sir Nick Clegg, president of Meta and global affairs, praised Shri Dharmendra Pradhan in a video greeting for helping to forge a relationship between the two key areas of the labour market—education and skilling. He stated that India is the ideal country for us to invest in emerging technologies due to its talent pool and growing adoption of digital technology.
Having worked closely with India during its G20 Presidency in areas like education, job creation, skill development, and user safety, he looked forward to Meta's contribution to empowering India's students, young people, and entrepreneurs, with a significant focus on skill development for Indian startups and businesses.
Over the following three years, Meta will provide access to digital marketing expertise to 5 lakh SMEs as part of the cooperation with NIESBUD. Starting with 7 regional languages, Meta platforms will be used to instruct aspiring and established business owners in digital marketing techniques. Additionally, three short videos showcasing the specifics of the collaborations were shown.
