We now have our own medical college, which is a significant development for the entire state. The future of healthcare in the state will be shaped by this transformative journey, he said.

He continued by saying that everyone's aspirations came together to create the medical college.

He emphasised the importance of the students' future contribution to changing countless lives and eradicating healthcare inequities as he urged them to work hard.

Alam stated that the government will offer numerous forms of assistance in helping the institute become one of the greatest in the nation.

Ritu Thurr, principal director of health and family welfare, welcomed the students and noted that success does not come easily and requires a lot of planning, self-discipline, and sacrifice.

"There is no substitute for hard work. The harder you work, the luckier you get," she said.
