The scholarship will be given to deserving students in grades 9 through 12 from sections with weaker economies. Students can submit applications via scholarships.gov.in, the National Scholarship Portal's (NSP) official website.

The scholarship application deadline is November 30. By offering this scholarship, we hope to lower the number of eighth-grade dropouts and motivate students to pursue secondary education.

Every year, one lakh new scholarships are given to deserving ninth-grade students who will be continued or renewed in classes ten through twelve in state government, government-aided, and local body schools. The scholarship is worth Rs 12,000 annually.

The scholarship money is transferred electronically through the Public Financial Management System (PFMS) in the DBT manner, directly into the bank accounts of the chosen students.

Students may apply for this scholarship if their parents' combined annual income is less than Rs 3.50 lakh. To take the selection examination, applicants for the scholarship must have received at least a 55 percent overall grade in Class 7 or an equal score. The eligibility standards for SC and ST students are lowered by 5%.

The first stage of application verification for the NSP is done at the institution or school level by the Institute Nodal Officer (INO), and the second level is done by the District Nodal Officer (DNO), and that takes place on December 30.
