President Murmu Envisions India's Tech-Led Future at IIIT Lucknow Convocation

President  Murmu Envisions India's Tech-Led Future at IIIT Lucknow Convocation

India's President, Smt Droupadi Murmu, addressed the 2nd convocation of the  Indian Institute Technology (IIT ) in Lucknow. 

She highlighted India's 5Ds – Demand, Demography, Democracy, Desire and Dream – which will be beneficial in its development journey. The country is on its way to becoming the 3rd largest economy by 2030.

The President emphasized the responsibility of students at IIIT Lucknow to partner with this vision and give their best efforts.

The President highlighted the importance of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning in various aspects of life, including healthcare, education, agriculture, smart cities, infrastructure, smart mobility, and transportation. 

She also noted that India is emerging as a global hub for new technologies like AI, machine learning, Internet of Things, and blockchain.

The President emphasized the need to address ethical dilemmas related to AI use, such as employment problems, economic inequality, and human bias. 

She stressed the importance of incorporating emotional intelligence alongside AI, as AI should not be an end but a means to enhance human life quality.

IIIT Lucknow has been granted the status of Institute of National Importance, indicating its ability, capability, and efficiency. This status sets the institution apart from other institutions and sets benchmarks for excellence in education.

The President also highlighted the positive steps taken by acquiring knowledge in regional languages, such as acquiring knowledge in regional languages, and the establishment of the Incubation Center C.R.E.A.T.E., which makes research and development accessible to society. The curriculum focused on AI and its applications equips students with the necessary skills to navigate the new technological landscape.

 

In conclusion, the President of India, Smt Droupadi Murmu, emphasized the importance of addressing the challenges faced by society and industry while preparing students for future demands.
