Education Ministry pushes last registration date to boost student innovation participation across India.
The Ministry of Education has officialy extended the registration deadline for the Viksit Bharat Buildathon 2025 till October 11. This initative, launched to encourage innovation and problem solving among school students, is being organise in collaboration with the Atal Innovation Mission under NITI Aayog. The Buildathon is one of India’s biggest innovation challanges, aiming to give students from classes 6 to 12 a national platfrom to design solution for real world problems.
This extention is expected to help more schools and student to register and submit there entries, making sure wide participation from all parts of the country. The competition promotes the government vision of “Viksit Bharat by 2047” by making a culture of creativity, innovation and self relience among the youth. Students are encourged to make projects under themes like Vocal for Local, Atmanirbhar Bharat, Swadeshi and Samriddh Bharat.
Participants can register in team and present there ideas or working prototypes which adress social, environmental or techonological challanges. The Ministry also announced a prize pool of ₹1 crore for the winning team. Selected students will not only get cash rewards but also mentor support, incubation help and chances for there projects to be scale up or adopted by industries and goverment programes.
The Viksit Bharat Buildathon aims to integrate technology with problem-solving, encouraging students to think beyond textbooks and apply classroom learning to real challenges. By making the deadline, the Ministry intends to ensure that every interested school gets the chance for participate. This initiative represents the government’s long-terminal promises to empowering young minds to lead India’s innovation ecosystem and contribute meaningfully toward building a developed and self-reliant nation.
