The Ministry of Education and AICTE is launching the sixth edition of Smart India Hackathon 2023.
Smart India Hackathon 2023: Fostering Innovation and Creative Solutions

The sixth edition of the Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2023 has been launched by the Innovation Cell of the Ministry of Education and the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE). The event, which was attended by dignitaries including Prof. T.G. Sitharam, Chairman of the AICTE, K. Sanjay Murthy (IAS), Secretary of Higher Education, and Dr. Abhay Jere, Vice Chairman of the AICTE, highlighted the creative solutions and insights that will be gathered throughout the event.

The Ministry of Education's Innovation Cell and the AICTE have organised the hackathon, which has received an impressive number of 239 issue statements, including 182 software challenges and 57 hardware challenges. 26 Central Ministries, 6 State Ministries, and 4 Industry Partners have all expressed interest in participating.

The second Junior Hackathon 2023, which was created following the success of the SIH Junior Edition in 2022, intends to enable kids in grades 6 through 12 to present their creative ideas on a variety of topics. The topics covered include robotics and drones, smart automation, smart education, smart vehicles, transportation & logistics, travel & tourism, and toys. They also cover clean and green technology, disaster management, fitness and sports, heritage and culture, and clean and green technology.

The Ministry of Law and Justice is developing a blockchain-based electronic vault system for legal records. Other noteworthy problem statements are the construction of a system to detect cloudbursts in mountainous areas by examining meteorological data and weather patterns.

The Smart India Hackathon 2023 aspires to be an innovation hotspot, fostering creative solutions to urgent difficulties in a variety of sectors.
