Students expressed anger after NEET UG cancellation, raising concerns over wasted time and exam fairness.
NEET UG 2026 Exam Cancelled: The cancellation of NEET UG 2026 has triggered strong reactions from students across the country, with many expressing anger, disappointment and stress over the sudden decision. Medical aspirants said months of hard work and preparation now feel wasted after the exam was cancelled following allegations of a paper leak.
Several students reacted online, calling the situation unfair and questioning the future of the examination system. Many students described the re-examination process as “mental torture” and said repeated controversies are affecting their confidence and mental health.
Abhishek Singh also spoke about the issue and admitted the situation was embarrassing for the agency. He said the decision to cancel the exam was taken after receiving reports related to an alleged paper leak. According to him, the National Testing Agency’s main priority is to ensure a fair and transparent examination process for students.
Students from different cities shared their frustration after the announcement. In Kota, several aspirants said they are worried because there is no guarantee that such incidents will not happen again during the re-examination. Some students also said not everyone can handle the emotional pressure caused by repeated uncertainty.
In Lucknow, students expressed disappointment and demanded major changes in the exam system. Many aspirants have now asked the National Testing Agency to conduct NEET in Computer-Based Test mode to reduce chances of paper leaks and improve security.
The cancellation has also sparked massive reactions on social media, where students criticised the examination process and raised questions about accountability and fairness.
NEET UG 2026 was conducted across 551 cities in India and 14 international cities for nearly 22.79 lakh registered candidates, making it one of the largest entrance examinations in the country.
