Top Indian Institutes Launch ADI Karmayogi Student Chapters to Empower Tribal Youth

Premier institutions like IITs IIMs and AIIMS initiate ADI Karmayogi chapters to mentor tribal youth.
Top Indian Institutes Launch ADI Karmayogi Student

In a significant move to bridge the gap between top educational institutions and tribal community, the Ministry of Tribal Affairs have launched the ADI Karmayogi Student Chapters across India's premier institutes, including IITs, IIMs, AIIMS, and NITs. IIT Delhi's Bhagwan Birsa Munda Cell will serves as the nodal hub for this initiative.

The ADI Karmayogi Abhiyan, described as the world's largest tribal leadership movement, aim to nurture tribal youth as leaders, innovators, and entrepreneurs. The student chapters will facilitates internships with the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, state departments, and district administrations, offering students hands-on experience in tribal development program.

Tribal Affairs Secretary Vibhu Nayar emphasized that these chapters would create a bridge between top institutes and tribal community, fostering a generation of young leaders who will shape India's educational, social, and entrepreneurial landscape. IIT Delhi Director Prof. Rangan Banerjee highlighted the platform as a mean for students to mentor, innovate, and drive meaningful impact in tribal regions.

The initiative is expected to provides students with opportunities to engage in meaningful projects, contribute to the development of tribal areas, and gain insight into the challenges faced by these communities. By connecting students with tribal development program, the ADI Karmayogi Student Chapters aim to cultivate a sense of responsibility and commitment towards inclusive growth and development.
