Yoga Skill Courses

As part of the Skill India Mission, the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship provides yoga skills courses to folks across the country. These courses are introduced under schemes like Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY), Craftsman Training Scheme (CTS) and National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS), which aims to provide skills related to industry to participants.

Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga (MDNIY) organizes various educational and training programs, which benefits thousands of people every year. These courses are usually 200 to 500 hours, which include theoretical knowledge and practical training on anatomy, physiology, asana, pranayama, meditation technique and teaching method.

Through these initiatives, the government aims to empower individuals, especially people coming from backward and tribal areas, so that they can get employment opportunities in wellness centres, educational institutions, fitness facilities and self -employment. Skill India Digital Hub (SIDH) connects trained candidates with potential employers, which facilitates employment and appointment.

These efforts show the government's commitment that it is ready to promote overall welfare and create continuous employment opportunities in the wellness sector.
