CBSE is expected to release admit cards for Class 10 and 12 board exams soon.
As the board examination season approaches, students across India are eagerly waiting for the release of the CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 admit cards for 2026. The admit card is one of the most important documents required to appear for the board exams, as it contains essential details related to the student and examination schedule.
The Central Board of Secondary Education conducts Class 10 and 12 board examinations every year for lakhs of students. The admit card serves as official permission to enter the examination centre and includes information such as the student’s name, roll number, subjects, exam dates, timings, and exam centre address.
For the 2026 academic session, CBSE board examinations are scheduled to begin on February 17. Based on previous years’ trends, the board usually releases admit cards around one week before the exams commence. This means students can expect the hall tickets to be issued in the first week of February.
The admit card is mandatory on all examination days. Students must carry a printed copy along with a valid school identity card. Without the admit card, entry into the examination hall is not permitted under any circumstances. Therefore, it is important for students to check every detail printed on it carefully, including spelling of names, subject codes, and exam centre information.
Private candidates are generally allowed to download their admit cards directly from the official CBSE website using their application details. However, regular school students do not receive login credentials individually. Their admit cards are downloaded by school authorities through the official CBSE portal.
Once downloaded, schools verify the details and distribute the signed and stamped admit cards to students. In case of any errors, schools must immediately contact the board for correction before the examinations begin.
Apart from waiting for the admit card, students are advised to focus on revision and follow the official exam timetable. Maintaining a proper study routine, revising important topics, and staying calm can significantly improve performance.
Students and parents should rely only on official announcements from CBSE or school authorities for updates. With exams approaching soon, timely preparation and awareness will help students face the board examinations with confidence.
