The purpose of this Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Indian Institute of Technology-Patna (IIT-P) and the Indian Institute of Management-Bodh Gaya (IIM-BG) is to undertake joint ventures with international organisations for exchange programmes, research partnerships, publications, executive education programmes tailored to industry needs, and collaborative efforts in placement activities.

The MoU was signed by IIT-P director T N Singh and IIM-BG director Vinita S Sahay. This collaboration signifies a strategic alliance between the two premier institutions, both established under the Acts of Parliament.

The MoU outlines various areas of collaboration, including joint dual degree programs aimed at providing students with interdisciplinary expertise by combining technical and managerial skills. It would facilitate collaborative studies, research and consultancy services by the faculty members of both the institutions. This collaboration would also include the sharing of research facilities, enabling joint endeavours and strengthening research capabilities.

International collaboration is a key element of the agreement, with both institutes seeking to engage in joint ventures with international organizations for exchange programmes, research partnerships, and publications. Executive education programmes tailored to industry needs and collaborative efforts in placement activities are also part of the agreement.

Senior faculty members of both institutions, including A K Thakur, A K Verma, and N K Tomar were present on the occasion.
