Medical Colleges Face New Deadline for Annual Declaration Submission

The National Medical Commission (NMC) has issued a notification asking medical schools and institutes to submit their yearly declarations on the NMC’s site by November 15, 2024. The institutions must also submit the required fee, Rs 3,54,000, together with their application for approval to admit students to undergraduate courses for the academic year 2025–26.

NMC said that the submission of a correctly completed yearly declaration form by each college on the NMC portal is required for the annual renewal of approval for UG-MBBS seats. If the college/institution fails to submit the yearly declaration within the time frame stipulated, the institute will deny admission.

The Annual Declaration portal for the school year 2025-26 includes the following extra information.

  • Upload of Letter of Recognition/Continuation of Recognition grant to the medical colleges by MCI/NMC from the grant of permission to establish the medical college.
  • Upload the last renewal letter issued for 2024-25.
  • In column 14 of college details in the portal, it is mandatory to intimate the name of the competent authority as mentioned at column 13.
  • A new TAB has been created in the portal where the medical colleges need to upload the details of the videography of the examination conducted and FORM C.

The NMC further stated that colleges and institutes that have not registered their AEBAS with NMC would be unable to use the portal. The username and password for each medical college have already been given with the nodal authorities of the respective institutions.
