University of Delhi Establishes Joint Control Rooms for Anti-Ragging Measures

University of Delhi implements Joint Control Rooms, Proctorial Board, Anti-Ragging Day, Anti-Ragging Week, and measures to combat ragging on campus.

The University of Delhi (DU) has announced the establishment of two Joint Control Rooms, one in each of the North and South Campuses, from August 16 to August 25.

The University of Delhi's Proctorial Board met today (August 11) to examine anti-ragging measures in the university, according to the varsity. The group made a number of significant resolutions to ensure the maintenance of discipline and the prevention of ragging on university and college campuses.

According to UGC guidelines, Anti-Ragging Day will be marked on August 12 this year, followed by Anti-Ragging Week from August 12 to 18.

Additionally, anti-ragging banners in English and Hindi have been put at strategic areas on the University of Delhi's North and South Campuses. Colleges, centers, and hostels have been asked to restrict outsider admission and prominently publicize policies prohibiting ragging in their individual institutions.

All colleges have also been directed to organize an anti-ragging/disciplinary council as well as a vigilance squad with the assistance of NCC students.
